This training opportunity is for Together Victoria members, volunteers and other people interested in helping us lead a successful canvassing campaign to get Sarah, Sharmarke and Laurel elected to Victoria City Council. It will be facilitated by the very talented Anna McClean, seasoned organizer and training facilitator.

The training will be focused on building relationships with potential voters and new volunteers through storytelling. It's a great opportunity to expand your canvassing toolkit as it won't be your typical canvass training, but rather training around mobilizing people by establishing common values and connecting on an emotional level. We are hoping that we can then translate this knowledge to new canvassers who will continue to join the team throughout the campaign.

The session will be based on the highly successful organizing framework developed by Marshall Ganz, which has since been used for Obama's campaign and many other initiatives. Not only will it be useful for Together canvassing, we hope you can extend it to other political movements and community organizing in which you are engaged!
